Iconic Gold's Building could face partial demolition.

City leaders to decide whether redevelopment of the Gold’s building will include demolition. Will Lincoln’s downtown core lose another historical landmark? The Gold’s building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1982, stands proudly among numerous other multi-story, national register structures downtown. Please let your elected leaders know that you want them to do the work of historic preservation, that buildings like Gold’s ought to stay part of our urban fabric.

PAL sent letters to all seven city council members, the planning department, the urban development department, and the mayor advocating for the retention and reuse of the Gold’s complex. To read the letter in its entirety, please click the link at the right.
