The premier reception for "Bridges: Sharing Our Past to Enrich the Future" will take place at the Great Plains Art Museum in Lincoln (1155 Q Street) the evening of Friday, January 6, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
The "Bridges" exhibit will showcase 93 images selected from over 800 submissions that capture historic sites and treasures all across Nebraska. These historic treasures could be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, or be a place of community or personal significance. Each submission included a brief narrative that described how the focus of the photos bridged the past with the present.
This opening reception is the first part of a year-long statewide traveling exhibit that coincides with Nebraska's Sesquicentennial in 2017. For more information visit http://hildegardcenter.org/3864-2/bridges-photography-call-results/.
